Contest IBGM/ Ministry of Tourism

The IBGM Design award promotes Brazilian jewelry design and has become a powerful incentive to the development and evaluation of new talent in Brazil. The ultimate objective is to establish a differentiated product in the international market. The 2006 Edition was supported by the Ministry of Tourism, with the theme of Brazilian Destinations.

Manoel Bernardes developed two pieces among the finalists: a bracelet in white gold and imperial topaz, by designer Glace Drumont, inspired by the Royal Route leading from the mountains to the sea, winner of the Southeast category, and the ring Carnaval, by designer Heloisa Azevedo, which won third prize in the same category. This piece is in yellow gold, with seven different precious stones and optic fiber.
